Quitting Your Home Business Too Early!
By Joe Reinbold

A lot of people find the right home business program, one with products they can believe in and one with a great compensation plan. But many just don't give themselves enough time to be successful. They quit before they can make any money.

When you are considering getting involved in a home business, besides finding the one that is right for you, you need to make a commitment to yourself. Make sure you don't have unreasonable expectations such as your going to make a bundle overnight. That isn't going to happen no matter what program you choose. It is going to take time to build your business. Here are some commitments to consider:

- Commit to having some staying power. Give yourself at least a year to build your business organization. That seems to be an appropriate time period to evaluate whether you are making enough money and whether your business is going to continue to grow.

- Commit to not getting involved in too many programs. I have seen so many new entrepreneurs join program after program. They fall for the hype too easily. When they don't see any money coming in the first couple of months, they see another program which sounds easier and appears to pay more and they join that one. Most who take this course are going to fail. The end result is they can't make money in any one of them because they become ineffective in all of them. Many new online business entrepreneurs start out part time and have limited budgets to devote to their new venture. When they start joining multiple programs, they don't have enough cash to spread around for membership fees and promotional expenses.

- Commit to helping others who you sponsor into your business. Too many times, new affiliates are left hanging out there to fend for themselves. They had enough confidence in you and your program to join, so you need to support them. Make sure that you communicate with them regularly. Answer their questions and offer advice. Think about doing some cooperative promotions with your team members. It can cut down individual expenses and it keeps everyone working as a team. It also shows your personal commitment to the business and sets an example for them.

- Commit to making some personal goals and following them. For example, you set a goal to personally sponsor five affiliates into your business. When you get to that point you are then going to help those five do the same thing, get their five. If everyone on your team does this, your business organization is going to steadily grow and everyone will have success.

There are many people working at home with successful online businesses. You can be one of them if you don't rush into it. Take time to choose the right program. Make the commitments discussed above and set and follow your goals. Give yourself time to succeed before you quit.
