Get Some Traffic Starting Today!

1. Article Marketing

Writing and publishing articles is a great way to get your message in front of other people interested in the same topic. Don't waste your time submitting to the article directories, instead make a list of publishers in your market to submit directory to them.

2. Forums

Pull up your search engine de jour and start looking for online forums or bulletin boards dedicated to your topic or market. Most forums allow you to plug yourself a little bit and at the very least they allow you to add your signature with a URL linking back to your site in each post.

3. Blogs

Blogs receive tons of regular traffic, look for blogs in your market or a related topic and start posting valid comments. Just remember that when you're on a blog be courteous and don't get into flame wars with anyone, if you disagree with a post just move on and don't comment.

4. Social Sites

The big technology bookmarking sites like Digg are all the rage with thousands of users visiting them every day. Start Diggin' and be sure to put your URL in your profile or some other place people will notice it.

5. Content Sites

The Internet is built almost entirely on content. Create some sites for your market with high quality content consisting of reviews, articles and resource directories. To put these sites on almost total auto pilot you should set them up to allow users to contribute to them as well.

Most of all when using these techniques don't start spamming with useless content or creating garbage sites... these kinds of short term methods never lead to long term success and results.
